On December 4, 2025, the Board and Technical Team of the Atlantic Association for Support to Machado-Joseph Patients (AAADMJ) attended the launch session of the research project Integrated Study for Genetics and Health Insights in Machado-Joseph Disease (INSiGHT-MJD) research project, held at the University of the Azores.
The AAADMJ joined this project, becoming part of its Advisory Board, helping to ensure that scientific decisions take into account the experience, needs, and priorities of the Machado-Joseph Disease community.
The Association's involvement in this project was also highlighted in a news article published in the regional newspaper Açoriano Oriental, on the occasion of the public presentation of INSiGHT-MJD.
